Austin Engineering has professional design and engineering offices in Australia, Chile and the USA. Highly efficient designs are essential to improving machine productivity and the Westech and JEC product library houses thousands of attachment designs created by our State-Of-The-Art CAD programs – ProE and Solid Works.
The technical challenges we face are designing and manufacturing buckets and other attachments that offer better cycle times through good penetration, maximum fill factors, lightweight construction, gross allowable weights, dump height calculation and static tipping load limitations. Off-highway truck bodies are manufactured to Westech, TAE or OEM specifications with design enhancements provided by Austin’s engineering team in consultation with the respective OEM factory. Westech bodies are designed to maximize capacity and payload to suit site-specific applications.
Austin’s Brisbane facility is Quality Assured to ISO 9001:2000 and has been certified by SGS since 1998 under Certificate AU 98/1076.
Austin’s Perth facility is also Quality Assured to ISO 9001:2000 and has been certified by BVQI since March 2006 under Certificate 149595.
Austin Engineering warrants all JEC and Westech products for a period of 12 months or 6,000 hours, or whichever comes first subject to warranty conditions.
