The company’s Perth operation has considerable experience in the design and manufacture of JEC attachments and buckets for the mining and materials handling industries and manufactures dump truck bodies for Westech and Original Equipment Suppliers. These product lines are also fabricated at Austin’s Brisbane facility to increase manufacturing output, driven by the resources sector, and shipped to locations around the country and offshore.
The acquisition of the Mackay, Hunter Valley, Pilbara Hire and COR Cooling businesses has placed Austin in a strategic position to offer its full range of services - including the manufacture, repair, overhaul and machining of equipment, as well as technical design capabilities - to Australian and overseas markets such as Indonesia.
The Sohar, Oman joint venture and the acquisitions of Western Technology Services in Casper, Wyoming and the Conymet body business in Chile are important steps for the company’s international aspirations and pursuit of advanced manufacturing technologies.

Austin Brisbane and Hunter Valley Operations operates an Industrial Blasting & Coatings Division as a separate business centre which provides a diverse range of customers with quality coatings. Outside contract work is an integral part of the operation, managed by a team of specialised professionals offering best practise industry standards.
The workshop covers 1,750m2 and is serviced by 2 x 10 tonne overhead cranes and a 20m x 6m x 6m blasting room chamber.
